Practice Settings is the internal configuration hub for your advisor account. It controls your business information, notification preferences, and default views. Nothing in Practice Settings appears on your public profile — those are managed separately in Profile.
Accessing Practice Settings
- Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar
- Select Practice Settings from the settings navigation
Business Information
The Business Information section stores internal details about your practice:
- Practice name — your firm or practice name as it appears in your dashboard header
- Location — city and state (used for directory filtering on your public profile)
- Business email — the email used for billing receipts and system notifications (may differ from your login email)
- Time zone — affects how dates and times display throughout your dashboard
Your business location is used in the advisor directory to help clients filter by region. It appears on your public profile as a city/state — no street address is ever displayed publicly.
Notification Preferences
Control which events trigger email notifications and at what frequency:
| Notification | Default | Options |
|---|---|---|
| New consultation requests | Immediate | Immediate, Daily digest, Off |
| Client accepted invite | Immediate | Immediate, Daily digest, Off |
| Client recorded a snapshot | Daily digest | Daily digest, Weekly, Off |
| Low engagement alert | Weekly | Weekly, Off |
| Billing events | Immediate | Immediate only (cannot be disabled) |
- Locate the Notifications section in Practice Settings
- Adjust each toggle or dropdown to your preferred frequency
- Save — notification changes take effect within a few minutes
If you're actively building your client base, keeping consultation request notifications on Immediate lets you respond quickly to new inquiries. Once your practice is full, switching to Daily digest reduces inbox noise.
Default Views
Default Views let you set which screen opens when you navigate to each main section:
- Clients list default sort — sort by name, engagement score, or join date
- Default date range — the analytics period that loads by default (7 days, 30 days, 90 days)
- Snapshot reminder threshold — how many days without a new snapshot before a client shows a stale-data indicator in your list
GoHighLevel Integration
The CRM integration is available on paid Practice plans. Open Practice Settings → Integrations to connect one GoHighLevel sub-account with a Private Integration token. Create the token inside the sub-account you want to connect, not the agency view — Contacts read-only and Opportunities read-only are sub-account permissions, so the agency scope list does not offer them, and a token created at the agency level is rejected.
After validation, choose one GoHighLevel pipeline and confirm every stage. Map a stage to its Policy Stack counterpart or choose Skip — do not guess. An unknown or unmapped stage is skipped. Tick Marks a won deal on the stage your pipeline uses for closed business: deals reaching it are recorded as won, and nothing is written back to GoHighLevel. It does not execute a policy or change a Policy Stack status.
Confirming pipeline setup starts the sync. There is no separate activation step and nothing to request from Policy Stack.
The sync-health card keeps validation, setup, queued or running work, completed syncs, retrying delays, and credential issues separate. Policy Stack reads the connected sub-account once a day. Sync now adds a rate-limited request to the queue to pull changes sooner; it does not run the scheduler immediately.
Every first-seen or unlinked contact remains unlinked until an authorized practice team member confirms it. The Dashboard → Today queue shows one action when contacts need review, and the full queue appears above Practice → Prospects. From there, compare every possible contact, link an eligible record, dismiss or reopen the review, or complete the required name and email to add it as a prospect or client. Adding a client creates the roster record only; it does not send an invitation or grant Policy Stack account access. Opportunities without a confirmed contact remain in provider review and are not added as Policy Stack deals. Settings keeps the unresolved count and a link to Prospects, not the operational review controls.
Profile Slug
Your profile slug (the /advisors/your-slug portion of your public URL) is set during onboarding and can be changed in the directory section of Practice Settings. Changing it updates your profile URL immediately and retires any short-link address tied to the old slug, so update printed material and signatures when you rename.
